CLA316 - The Nitrate Pollution Prevention (Wales) Regulations 2013

Procedure: Negative

These Regulations revoke and replace the corresponding 2008 Regulations. These Regulations continue to implement the EC Nitrates Directive to control the application of nitrogen fertiliser in nitrate sensitive areas.

There are various controls, including imposing annual limits on the amount of nitrogen fertiliser that may be applied and establishing periods when nitrogen fertiliser cannot be applied.

CLA317 - The Education (Admissions Appeals Arrangements) (Wales) (Amendment) Regulations 2013

These Regulations amend the Education (Admission Appeals Arrangements) (Wales) Regulations 2005 and provide that appeal panels may consider whether admissions arrangements are unlawful in addition to whether the decision of the admission authority was unreasonable. They also specify arrangements for the payment of allowances that may be paid to panel members.
